Adam and Eve heard the voice of the Lord as they walked in the garden with God, Genesis 3:8 (kjv). So, as you can see hearing God's voice is surpose to be a normal part of our everyday life. Jesus even modeled hearing from God as He prayed "It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therfore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me John 6:45 (kjv).
Rhema is a Greek term, it is logos. The Holy Spirit quickens or speaks to our spirit. Listen to God's voice through his word and his prophets confirming his Rhema word speaking directly to you, because it is God's way of reaching way down into your circumstances of life and setting you free. It is God's faithfulness to nourish, sustain and encourage your life. Jesus lets us know through his word that he has sent his Holy Spirit to comfort us, and guide us in all things. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you John 15:26 (kjv).
