Shame and Honor
It is better to continue your Christian walk no matter the circumstance. People may judge you as going against the norm, but to obey Christ is better. We can walk in honor before the throne of God, if we walk upright and do not let others manipulate us into doing stuff we know is not Christ-like. Have you ever been in a crowd, (church, park, work, or just hanging out with others and all of a sudden someone want to do something out rages? For instance, someone may want to lead everyone into going get a drink for after all we deserve it, we have worked hard all week, been to church and the devil is on our back, or they may suggest a joint along with drinking. Ok, here is your turn to make a choice.
Christians should think of it as an honor to be criticize, ridiculed, and shamed for speaking the gospel of Jesus Christ. Christians are persecuted because people do not want to hear the truth. It may cause them to have to change their ways.
The choice you make today will affect your tomorrow. Make the right choices and avoid hellish shame that you may not be able to live down the rest of your life by people. We must honor God in all we do, and no matter what people may think about our right choice,s we must press forward for our reward is great in haven and on earth. It may not seem like it right then and there because everybody else is doing it. But take note the bible says,
Key Bible Verse: Acts 5:41 tells how the apostles rejoiced after being beaten and shamed by the Jewish council ...
You have the God given right to choose which path you may want to go down, consider this scripture as you make that choice.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat (kjv) As you can see many people maybe doing wrong but they will lead there own-selves into destruction and others if they do not make the right choices.
Consider this bible verse written by Paul Consider this marvelous statement written by Paul: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith'," (Rom. 1:16,17).
II Timothy 1:12 says: That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day (kjv)
Seer is a Hebrew word which means to be whole, to have vision, or to mentally proceed. It also means to see beforehand which comes from the word providere. This denotes that if you are able to see before hand you can take the appropriate actions. It is often said that the prophets are connected with provision. Reading the bible story about the widow woman who gave the prophet her last meal and prospered is a good example. An example of this is found in 2 Sanuel 24:11 and I Chronicles 21:19 when the seer or prophet is mention. You may visit my links and get a prophet word if you would like to here what is in store.
